Computerize Chapter minutes, financial records, maintain the Chapter website and electronic mail via the Kappa-net.

Help plan a Founder's Day activity for the chapter and coordinate the chapter's involvement in
A Triangle Area Founder's Day activity with the Cary and Raleigh Chapters.

Develop plan for getting a Fraternity House for the Chapter.

Golf Tournament
Plan a golf tournament for a charitable organization and suitable fund raiser.

Prepare Grants to submit to the Kappa Foundation and other foundations to support the
Chapter's Guide Right Program.

Guide Right
Monitor and Coordinate the Chapter's Guide Right Program (Young Black Achievers Program
at R.N. Harris).

Hospitality
Arrange for meeting place, set up meeting room, provide meals or snacks and libations, and
insure that meeting room is left clean. Develop a theme for each monthly meeting recognizing
Brothers in major areas of excellence (Religion, Past Polemarch, Military, Medicine, Education,
Small Businesses, Law, Government Service and Criminal Justice)

Housing
Develop plans for securing a Chapter Fraternity House.

Humanitarian
Insure that Brothers and their families are contacted in cases of sickness, hospitalization, and
deaths. Keep Brothers informed of all humanitarian issues. Coordinate memorial services for
deceased Brothers.

Membership Intake
Plan and implement all membership intake activities. Conduct training and insure that new
members are active in assigned communities or projects

Nominations/Recognition
Formulate slates of officers and Board of Directors, conduct elections, revise Chapter's
constitution. Recommend candidates for local awards (Kappa Man of the Year - Durham
Alumni), Province Awards (Province Man of the Year - Chapter of the Year, etc.) and Grand
Chapter Awards (Laurel Wreath, Elder Watson Diggs, Achievement Awards, etc.)

Support all committees in their public relations efforts.
